The internet has transformed the way information is shared and consumed, but it has also created problems that did not exist before.

What are the most serious problems associated with the internet and what solutions can you suggest?

It is widely believed that the way of sharing and storing information is drastically changed with the invention of the internet. However, it has also brought some problems that were not in existence before. The main issues of this are leakage of data and virus attack, but there are several remedies to this problem.

The two major issues which have been created by the internet are virus and loss of key data by hacking. People can easily lose their key data while using the internet because hackers steal their email addresses and passwords. These hackers enter into their computers using various methods and ultimately blackmail them. Million of pounds, for example, had been withdrawn by hackers from the back accounts of people in the UK in 2016 by using their fake email address. Another drawback of the internet is the complete breakdown of a computer system if any virus is introduced. It corrupts all the files in the computer and the users become unable to access them.

Not sharing sensitive information with others and downloading anti-virus software are the two effective solutions. Many companies, which provide different services on the internet, warn people not to share any key information, such as ID or passwords with others, even with their family members. This prevents people from losing their key information to others. Apart from this, downloading anti-virus software is the solution to resist virus attacks. It does not only prevent, but also detect the malwares in computers. Macaffe, the famous virus detection software, for instance, reported that more than 2 million people installed their product around the world in 2015. There were all saved from malware attacks by paying nominal fees.

In conclusion, although the internet has many advantages, it has also some drawbacks. Having anti-virus system in computers and not disclosing key login information are some of the possible solutions.
