Hi, this is my latest writing on Task 1 of the IELTS Writing. I hope that you all can help me check some mistakes I have made as I have learned to do this task myself ^^

Topic: The table below shows the average monthly rainfall in two different cities. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table compares the average precipitation, measured in inches, in every month of the year in two distinct cities: Woodsville and Blacksboro. The amount of rain varies from 0.75 inches to 6 inches in Woodsville and from 0.01 inches to 4 inches in Blacksboro.

In Woodsville, the number fluctuates moderately throughout the year. The average monthly rainfall decreases stably from 5 inches in January to only 0.75 inches in July. Then, the number experiences an upward trend and reaches the peak in November with 6 inches. There is a slight drop to 5.5 inches in the last month of the year.

The amount of rain in Blacksboro, similar to that of Woodsville, reaches its lowest point in July with only 0.01 inches of rain. Before that, the number slightly rises from 3 inches to 4 inches, which is the highest number, in the month between January and February. Subsequently, it gradually drops to the bottom in July. Despite having experienced a downward trend, the rainfall starts to rise again until the end of the year, with the last number of 2.5 inches in December.

Overall, the average rainfall in Woodsville is a little higher than that of Blacksboro.

Thank you very much for being willing to help me <3

The table gives the average monthly precipitation from January through December, measured in inches, for two cities, Woodsville and Blacksboro.

Overall, Woodsville gets over 36 inches of rain per year, whereas Blacksboro gets less than half that, only 15. Both cities have contrasting dry and wet seasons, where more rain falls in the winter months ( November-January) and less in the summer months (May-September).

Fifteen inches of rain means a very dry climate, especially when the rainfall is concentrated in just a few months. Blacksboro has a 5-month-long extremely dry season beginning in May with very little rain, a quarter of an inch or less. The wet season, December through March, gets some rain, but still quite modest amounts, between 2.5 and 4 inches. About half the annual rainfall (7") comes in two months, January and February.

Woodsville's dry season is four months long in the summer between June and September in which there is 1.5" or less of rain per month. The wet season, October through February, has monthly averages of 3" or more. The wettest months are November (6") and December (5.5"). The driest month is July, with less than 1".
