The chart below shows the results of a survey about people's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

My essay:

The bar chart illustrates the proportion of residents consuming and purchasing coffee and tea in five different areas namely Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in last 4 weeks

Overall, it can be clearly seen that the number of people from all cities who interested in to go to café for coffee and tea, instant coffee was increased significantly, while the opposite was true for purchasing fresh coffee in last 4 weeks

In terms of Sydney and Melbourne, while the percentage of Sydney's citizens consuming coffee and tea at café was about 61%, the figure for Melbourne was higher, at approximately 65%. In addition, around 47% of instant coffee was purchased by residents in two cities namely Sydney and Melbourne, whereas the proportion of those drinking fresh coffee declined, at about 43% and 45% respectively.

Moreover, Hobart's residents consuming coffee and tea and instant coffee were the highest people in all cities, with about 67%, followed by Brisbane and Adelaide , at 55% and 49% respectively. In addition, around 53% of people in Hobart and Brisbane choose to buy instant coffee, compared to 50% in Adelaide. While the proportion of Hobart's citizens buying for fresh coffee were higher, at over 38%, that of in Adelaide and Brisbane had the similar data, at approximately 35%.

The bar chart illustrates (Poor word choice - read my advice) the proportion of residents consuming and purchasing coffee and tea in five different areas (wrong word) namely Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in last 4 weeks

(missing punctuation. Also, you did not describe the categories. Your description is incomplete.)

Overall, it can be clearly seen that (read my advice) the number (wrong word) of people from all cities who interested in to go (bad grammar) to café for coffee and tea, instant coffee was increased significantly, (Increase means go up over time. So is this increase over the previous year or the previous month? ) while the opposite was true for purchasing fresh coffee in last 4 weeks (missing punctuation)

In terms of Sydney and Melbourne, while the percentage of Sydney's citizens consuming who consumed coffee and tea at café was about 61%, the figure (wrong word) percentage for Melbourne was higher, at approximately 65%. In addition, around 47% of instant coffee (This means half of the total amount of coffee. For example if 1000 jars of coffee were sold, 470 jars were bought by people in two of the cities. That is not what is on the chart. ) was purchased by residents in two cities namely Sydney and Melbourne, whereas the proportion of those drinking fresh coffee declined, (Decline means go down over time. So is this decline over the previous year or the previous month? ) at about 43% and 45% respectively.

Moreover, Hobart's residents consuming coffee and tea and instant coffee were the highest people They were the tallest people?) in all cities, with about 67%, followed by Brisbane and Adelaide , at 55% and 49% respectively.

Paragraph 1: Describe the figure and all its attributes. Do not mention any of the data content.
Paragraph 2: Pick out 2 or 3 main features.
Paragraph 3: Write about a few details. Focus on comparing and contrasting the different categories.

majority = a value over 50%

exception = the ones that are different that the others.

six of every ten ... = another way to say 60%

Topic: The chart below shows the results of a survey about people's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

A survey was conducted in five cities in Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, and Sydney) asking residents if they had purchased tea or coffee in the past four weeks. The bar chart plots the proportion of residents in each of the cities who responded positively to each of these three questions: 1) Did you buy fresh coffee? 2) Did you buy instant coffee? and 3) Did you go to a café to drink tea or coffee?

The highest percentages in each city were the people who had gone to a café. Except for Adelaide, the majority of residents in each city had done this. In second place were the instant coffee buyers, the city of Adelaide again being the exception.

The cities of Sydney, Hobart and Melbourne had the highest proportions on the chart; more than six of every ten people there had recently enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee in a café. On the other extreme, the cities of Brisbane and Adelaide had the lowest percentages; in particular, a bit over one-third (34%) were buyers of fresh coffee. Generally, people in these five cities bought instant coffee more than fresh coffee, and the gap could be fairly wide. As an example, in Brisbane, it was 52% to 34%, or 18%. In three of the cities, a half or more had purchased instant coffee; these were Hobart (54%), Brisbane (53%) and Adelaide (50%).
