Cycling is more environmentally friendly than other forms of transport. Why is it not popular in many places? How can its popularity be increased?

It is true that one of the best eco-friendly means of transport is bicycle compare with other vehicles but it is not widely used. There are a number of reasons behind this trend and several solutions should be adopted to improve the situation.

There are two primary reason why people do not usually ride bicycles although they have positive effects on environment. One of the reasons is riding a bike takes longer than using a car or a motorbike. In today’s fast-paced life, everyone is always in hurry and has a lot of things to do. A motor vehicle will help them avoid spending too much time on the road and have more time to do other things. Another reason is the inconvenience when pedaling in adverse weather. For example, when it rains, people who are riding are easier to get wet and cold than the ones sitting in a car because it will block the rain that is falling on them.

Fortunately, several measures could be taken to tackle this problem. The first solution would be more lanes should be built to serve cyclists. It would be faster and safer to travel with bicycles. As a result, more people will choose bicycles as their primary mean of transportation. A second measure would be schools and workplaces should encourage students and staff to commute by bike by offering more support services. For instance, they could provide changing facilities and hot shower for people arriving cold or wet.

In conclusion, it is clear that there are various reasons why people are not so keen on cycling and steps need to be tacked to improve the issue.

Rika Ng - I will be honest and try to point out what I see. Upon a quick glance of your assey, I've noticed some basic grammatical errors and common mistakes made by many ESL learners because of the cultural-grammatical differences. The translation in the head often makes the assey sound unnatural and stiff. I will mark off some of the mistakes and try to explain as much as I can. Your assey is very wordy and has many unneccessary filler words. The simple concept is about the benefit of bicycle and how this environmentally friendly concept can be promted. To improve your writing in the future, I'll suggest try to focus on the supporting points and keep the reasoning flow smooth.

A motor vehicle will help them avoid spending too much time on the road The highlighted in blue is quite wordy and not idiomatically smooth. You can say: Driving is much faster getting us to our destination which gives us more time to do other things. Another reason is the risk of running into inconvenience when pedaling in adverse weather. For example, when it rains, people who are riding are easier to get wet and cold than the ones sitting in a car because it will block the rain that is falling on them.

This part is not natural and too wordy. The ideas can be expressed with much more fluency and clarity. Continuing with "adverse weather":

Riding a bike is prone to dangers of injuries and getting sick in rainy days whereas sitting in a warm car is much more comfortable and less likely catching cold from the rain. .

Fortunately, Wrong adverb. several measures could be taken to tackle this problem. The first solution would be is to build more bike lanes for should be built to serve cyclists.
