Hi !

please I need you to advise the most suitable adjective to be used in this case:

"She is not allowed to make predictions on serious illnesses but only on illnesses of little importance"

Is "illness of little importance" correct? which would be the correct adjective in this case?I would replace it with "minor" can it work?

Further, can I say "to make prediction ON...."?

Thanks

Pamela

Here is how I would say it:

"She is not allowed to make predictions on serious illnesses, only on minor illnesses." I'm not happy with the repetition of "illnesses" but I don't see a way to avoid it without rewriting the sentence.

Possibly something like this: "She is allowed to make predictions on minor but not on serious illnesses."

"to make prediction on" is incorrect, it must be "to make predictions on"

Dear MalRay,

thanks for the reply! It is clear, thanks! "minor" is the correct adjective in this context and I agree with the way you finished the sentence.

Thanks!!
