Hi! Today I doubted when answering a prepositions exercise where I had to fill the blank using at or in, and the sentence was this:

My father works ____ an office

Which is the right preposition? Thanks a lot!
Comments
My father works ____ an office

But we also say "He is at the office." (He works in an office AND he is there right now.)
Agreed, Nef.
Also, "at" an office might be used when referring to the office building as a whole, while "in" an office focuses on a portion of the building.
