Hi,

Could you tell me if the following sentences read well from a native speaker's viewpoint ?

1. The effects of global warming will kill us in our millions if we won't listen to scientists

2. The effects of global warming will kill us in millions if we won't listen to scientists

Thanks !

These do:

1. The effects of global warming will kill us in our millions if we won't listen to our scientists.

2. The effects of global warming will kill us by the millions if we won't listen to the scientists.

I would suggest your rephrasing not change "will" to "would."

It would kill if we hadn't

It will kill if we don't/won't.

I also like the original's use of "us" because it's a shared problem. Casting it with "people" makes it more removed and not OUR problem.

Thank you so much !
It sounds better if we re-phrase the sentence. "The effects of global warming would kill millions of people if we won't listen to scientists.

possibly say 2 ,but it sounds alittle awkward i`d say (the effects of global warming will kill millions of us if we don`t listen to the scientists)
