Dear Yunus!

I have got the point that nobody in the east or in the west has patience. Man is a rational being, but I have begun to doubt the same. Many filthy sentences I have found in some of the posts, noted above. We don’t think but at once jump to the conclusion. This is the way the people behave everywhere.

If War in is illegal, why it is fought? No doubt Saddam Hussain was the Culprit as some people say, but when he is overthrown, would you recommend that and English must stay there for democracy? If so, Why America has supported Dictatorship in , , Pre-War Iraq, etc. Ok I am not concerned with that in the least. Can u tell me why is silent about ’s Atomic weapons and why there is so many hue and cries against the dirty bomb of ? What is all this! Do you have any explanation for all these questions?

What ever I may be, who has given you people the right to call some one in this manner? If that is true then you should have done so as truth is sour, but if that wasn't true, you might have simply stated your viewpoint the other way. Is it the mark of true civilization that we have learnt? The western people are very skeptical; they read, think and then make a statement. I am not concerned with politics and I don’t politicize any matter. What I wanted was to find out weather we the human beings can think or not, but I think, Bertrand Russell, the English philosopher was very much true in his belief that man is not a rational being.

Read this very carefully:

point 1: Americans never did anything. It is the US Government that do what everyone knows. Not every American supports war, and those who say they supports war are just politically confused. They just support Bush's policy but they don't have a clue what Bush's policy is. Therefore, most Americans don't actually care about wars and wouldn't even kill an ant, nevermind some muslim.

point 2: US government doesn't give a freaking damn about democracy. They don't care AT ALL. Why? If they cared about democracy, they would have been to Africa. There are wars in Africa that has been fought for so long than Africans can't even remember when they started. There are places where the word democracy has never existed, possibly since the Middle Ages. Africa should be the fist worry for US government if they wanted to bring democracy everywhere, but... you know, there's nothing to exploit there, there's only sand, dirt and heat. Not even oil, what a pity.

So next time you see an American, don't think they are going to hate you before you hate them.

Nona The BritThere are equally terrible things being done by leaders of other countries, and we don't intervene there. Why?

It's all very complex.
Hi Nona

To my mind it's all extremely simple. The USA already controls the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, so there is no point in invading it even though its leaders have committed serious human rights violations just like Saddam Hussein. Remember that the USA was on good friendly terms with Saddam up to the moment he occupied Kuwait. There was nothing wrong with Saddam in American eyes even though he was a mass murderer even then.

Logic would indeed have the USA wage a war against Saudi Arabia since most of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudis! That won't happen as long as Saudi oil is exported to the West at a reasonable price.

As for North Korea and the like, they are too insignificant and harmless to really bother a superpower. Goerge W. Bush's advisors might advocate invading a small country only if the political situation in the USA were ripe for it and there were political gains to be had from such an invasion. Grenada was a good example in 1983. The USA won that 'war'!

All the time it is of paramount importance for the USA to tell the world it does all the killing to spread democracy and freedom. Few US presidents have been knowledgeable enough to be familiar with, say, Arab cultures and/or the social order in the non-Western world. They think it is possible to change thousands of years of traditions and culture into Americanism overnight and -- what is even worse -- they think everybody wants the USA to lead the world.

The USA has supported and even placed in power numerous dictators if that has been beneficial for American economic interests.

Cheers

I suspect that is a lot to do with it, yes. Although I wouldn't blame just the Americans.

Look at Darfur...no oil...no resources...no interest from the rest of the world.

Dear Nona the brit!

No one blame the Americans. We only want that Americans should change its policy of interference. We also have right to live and to live according to our customs and cultures. Americans must not be ethnocentric to measure our cultures and behavioral patterns with the yardstick of American culture.

May I ask why American Govt creates phantoms and why the American people, so much educated and well learned, believe in these phantoms? If American people inspite of all that, support the ongoing policies of US Govt. then sorry, the majority of the Muslim world will blame the Americans.

Hi Sdk

Where on earth did you get the impression that Americans are highly educated? Money, or the lack of it, is very decisive with regard to who gets a good education and who doesn't. Many American universities are among the best in the world but there are 300 million Americans. According to Newsweek, an American magazine, 23 percent of them are illiterate.

I have been asked in New York where 47th Street is. We were standing on the corner.

Saddam Husein was a dictator, and he was attacked by other dictator. Iraqis people are just the victim of two dictatorship rivalry.

i totally agree with you. of course, not all americans are dumb. and this is not what i want to say, but the average american is in my opinion not as educated as someone from europe for example. it seems also to depend from which part of america you`re talking, but i know some friends who have been in america, that lots of them are not that highly educated. some didn`t know where to find germany on a map. that`s a pity.
but that matters only partly to our topic here, because not all the americans support this war
Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
Sdk what kind of "world of humanity" are you? If speech is silver, silence is gold. You should have read little about western part of Turkey to see how these Muslims that are supposed to get killed and blamed according to your credible (!) comments live in Turkey. Muslims are not merely a group of people from Saudi Arabia or wherever. Muslim terrorists kill muslim people as well. If you were even 97 years old, you wouldn't get a piece of dignity that you would need for your age just because you were brainwashed. You'll probably not notice that you have been brainwashed, because if you notice, you'll get rid of it. Unconciousness is the one sample of a quite definition of you. As far as you and likewise are concerned people should have the right to criticize so that we will be able to try to change not countries, but the people like you.

Yeah I know this solution seems easier, we just know; bt they just keep talking...
