Would you please verify the usage of "is how" in the following sentence?

Depending on what is important to the business is how they decide to score the attributes.

(I feel this is better: Depending on what is important to the business, they decide to score the attributes.)

Hi,

Depending on what is important to the business is how they decide to score the attributes. This sentence does not work well, it does not make the meaning clear.

(I feel this is better: Depending on what is important to the business, they decide to score the attributes.) Yes, but I suggest you make it simpler and more direct. Instead of 'decide to score', just say 'score'. And 'depending on' has some different shades of meaning, I suggest 'based on' is more direct. How about They score the attributes based on what is important to the business?

Best wishes, Clive

Thanks Clive. Nice rework, as always.
