eg "He has always come home late since he got that new job."
eg "He has come home late ever since he got that new job."
PS -Edited to correct a typo
"She doesn't come round to see us so much since her marriage." and "We visit my parents every week since we bought the car." There might be an interesting distinction to make between the sentence proposed by the OP and the one proposed by you Clive, in that the OP's sentence, ""He always comes home late since he got that new job." suggests a change in habit, while Clive's suggests a continued action up to the present. While i don't think Clive's sentence could possibly be said to be incorrect, I think the OP's sentence may emphasize upon his desired meaning more clearly.
For example, If we take Swan's sentence: "We visit my parents every week since we bought the car." This means that the speaker now has the habit of visiting his parents every week (though note he may miss out on his commitment occasionally, as habits tend to be slightly subject to circumstances), BUT "We have visited my parents every week since we bought the car," would suggest a continued, unbroken series of visitations up to the present time, though one that will not necessarily continue in the future.
Any thoughts on this would be welcomed.
