Hello everybody.

This might seem like a weird question, but can you please kindly go to this linke and tell me if it's written by a native speaker of English or not:

I really struggle to read and comprehend the text. I just to know if it's just me or there is really something wrong about it.

Especially, consider the the senteces "Now advance 4 years to 2008 and how views have changed, the Discovery Channel has done a documentary on extra solar planets and presented a theoretical planet locked by gravity where rotation of the planet does not occur. In this example, the star and the planet in a mutual orbit presents the same face of the planet" in the paragraph above the "Let's examine the current status quo for Moon rotation" or the sentence "When scientists concluded the axis is the Moon rotated in pace with its orbit presenting the same side always, this seemed true, but it was the frame of reference used, which is the source of confusion".

Thank you all.

It wasn't an easy read, but it seems like it could have been written by a native English speaking person. Note though, not all people are able to speak or write well in their native language. Emotion: smile
Thanks Mr. Stafford. A friend asked me to kinda summarize the text for her in Persian and I was really at a loss.

and sorry about all those mistakes in my writing.

l3lack_lightsorry about all those mistakes in my writing.
It was yours? If it seemed so, I didn't mean to drag you down with my comment. I'm really sorry. We all make mistakes; that's how we must learn. Even my wife, as she jokingly tells me, made a mistake once (just once) when she thought she was wrong but actually it turned out she was right.

Emotion: smile
Wait! No Josh it was not mine! I meant the mistakes in my post. Emotion: smile

Anyway, why would I write something like that and then, come here to ask people if it's written by a native speaker of English or not? That's crazy! Where did you get the idea?!

Please give my thanks to your wife for her indirect tip!

You're right. It's still very early here in Vancouver, BC. Emotion: smile
Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
I see. Emotion: big smile

In iran, it's a pitch dark evening. It must be dreadful to go outside.

Hi,

Based on observation of the sentence structure, fluentcy and the tone in which the article was composed in, my intuition told me that the author is not an English native. This is a rather scientificically complex article and the author apparently has a deep understanding of planetary behaviors and profound knowledge in astronomy. That said, there are glaring errors with capitalization and punctuations which are fairly common among scientists and scholars of foreign origin in scientific circle, based on my past experience. Also, the awkward construction and tone have made this scientific article difficult to understand, or comprehend. That's my opinion.
Hahaha! Your wife and I are tied then Emotion: wink
