Could anyone please rassure me that this paragraph is fine?

Thanks

"Equally important is the cultural factor and how it impacts on participants’ perceptions. Consistently with participants’ belief regarding the length of service as a requirement that qualifies teachers to take part in decision-making, school board members expect that they will be treated as professionals. Being senior members of staff who have been in service for long years, they believe that they deserve to be allowed to put their impact on the decision-making process and to have genuine influence on the decisions that are being made".

I have tried to simplify it a bit, Egyptian; if your readers have to wade through a labyrinth of sentence structure, they won't bother to pay attention.

Also note that it is "participant's" - the apostrophe goes before the 's' in both instances in the paragraph.

I believe there are several participants in this study, Tidus, so the apostrophe is correctly placed in the original. However, if there is only one, then it will require an article (a, the) as well as the apostrophe change.
