Anonymous1. Walk in public places without veil in Muslim majority countries. See the reactions from Muslims there !
2. In the same Muslim majority countries, walk in public places with only veil on your body, do not wear anything except veil. See the reactions from Muslims there !
If I walk in a Muslim's country without the veil, would they say something? I don't think they would say anything, they would just know that I am not a Muslim..so, there won't be any reactions unless I go with a short skirt.

And if I go with a veil, why should people react? They will think I am a Muslim, so, there wouldn't be any reaction either..Emotion: smile

How do you know that they can differentiate you with muslim who doesn't wear veil ?

KabayanIt is not veiling that bad, it is FORCING that very bad.
Many women in 'Western' cultures are forced to wear makeup and conform to stupid fashion dictates like high hells (heel shoes) that cripple women and tight panties that give all sorts of fungal problems and tight jeans that result in spinal difficulties.

What physical difficulties does a veil impose on a woman?

I don't know, I am not an expert, I was just curious. But anyway, if I don't wear the veil, they will simply think that I am a tourist..and in case I were a Muslim without the veil, how would they react? They can't force me to wear it, can they?

Only the veil? I wouldn't do so. They would react in a same way people would in my city or worse. But aren't veils supposed to be long? I mean, they hide the whole body, right?:)

Yes they would. Not in all countries that follow the Muslim faith, of course. But in many of them you would be forced to wear a hiyab.

I know, I have been forced to wear one. If I hadn't I would not have been allowed to leave the hotel.

Sorry, I couldn't resist commenting. I am living in a Muslim country but I dont wear veil. However, no one behaved strange to me or I was irritated by strange looks. Please don't make generalise and don't introduce us wrong. If you want to give any detail please use the name of your own country. By the way, though I sometimes wear mini skirts still they haven't thown stones at me. Emotion: big smile LOl..

Thank you so much for your obviously logical comment.

The only thing that we see on Fox News and such filth is extremists.

They do the same thing in Australia. Current Affairs News programs engineer truck accidents to raise raitings. They buy a chain from a local hardware store so a Granny can chain herself to something to generate sympathy then the opposition comes in and shows a bewildered pensioner with declining mental capacity saying that she had no idea what the other mob was on about and this is the end result of 'News'.

It is nothing but the bad news distilled and designed to poison our collective minds.

It would be easy to find communities in Australia where women must be 'veiled' in that their hari must be covered and they are not permitted out with no chaperone and no chance of looking in the eyes of a non related male much less talking or touching such a heathen but this is certainly not representative of Australian culture of life at all.

Spinal difficulties ? Really ?

Forced to wear make up ? Come on ! Hmm...maybe "Soft Force", like commercial, etc.

Physical dificulties of a veil impose on a woman ? hmm.......in a high humidity region....ehmm....fungal problems of hair...perhaps. I don't know ! In general, I think veil is more safe than cosmetics. Emotion: big smile

And who generalised?

The comment said that in some countries you would. The poster didn't say in which country she was forced to wear a veil. Maybe because she didn't want to offend.

I don't have any such scruples.

Try Afghanistan without a veil or without a burka and a mini skirt on. And see how you fare.
