I wouldn't use "in" in the #2. It's o.k., but I think it gets in the way.

I agree. I would omit it, but it's not wrong with it. You can also say "part of your nature."

'In your blood' suggests more strongly that you inherited this characteristic from your ancestors. eg 'Your father betrayed people, too'.
