If you do it wrong, which do you call it?

Vulgar error. This standard phrase preserves the original (Latin) sense of vulgar, viz. popular or common.

[nq:1]If you do it wrong, which do you call it?
If you do it wrong, even if you notice, you probably don't think it's worth calling it anything. As for me, I call it misspelling: The punctuation mark is part of how the word is spelled.
