The residents of Vancouver have similar problem when it snows, but today they're out golfing while we enjoy our -28'C.

Do your wrmst rgrds retain their customary warmth with 2" of snow? And for whom are the less-than-wrmst-rgrds reserved?

No snow yet in Oxford. I think all this bad weather hype is a ploy to distract us from the Hutton report. The favoured method of distraction is usually a story about the royals but they don't seem to be providing much material lately (although the Daily Mail did run pictures of the Queen bashing a game bird to death with her walking stick the other day). So it's back to that good old standby, the weather, and if it isn't actually doing very much, the forecasts can be spun (hi, Philip!).

None here yet, at 7:15 AM. Some was predicted for the Dublin area I don't know if they received it.

For a little snow?
(And, yes, I know whereof I speak. Looking at your forecast, your expecting a total accumulation of 4-8 inches. In 1979, we had about
30 inches, with drifts up to at least four or five feet. O'Hareairport closed, but not my high school.)

Hi, Laura. I have been tearing my hair out during the last few days trying to stem to tide of hype. The spinning on occasions like this is entirely performed by the media, especially television.
