Feeling luck was on my side, I walked into the office and told them what I needed. While waiting for an answer, I looked around and it seemed to have all kind of spare parts. You name it. A minute later, the clerk hung up the phone and quite happily said "No. We don't have the seatbelt. How about a new one?"

I thought he was kidding. Without giving much of a thought, "This is a junkyard. You carry new parts too?" I could feel he was offended. Apparently they sell used and new parts. It hit me. It was possible that he wasn't upset when he "found out" they didn't have any used seatbelts because they made more selling new ones. Now, I was a little pissed. Guess what. I went home empty handed but my best friend seemed to enjoy the ride. Good for him.

Are there any mistakes?
Thanks.

1. "It seemed to have " What's wrong with this?

2. What's wrong with "It hit me"?

3. What's wrong wtih "It was possbile that ..."

Sorry I think I have asked for an explanation for each of your questions. I'm usually able to see why you make changes but not this time.
Hi

1. "It seemed to have " What's wrong with this? - It refers to the office. I just felt it was too far away from office and sounded a bit strange. You could say: I looked around and they seemed to have .......

2. What's wrong with "It hit me"? - You could use It hit me, but you need then in front - Then it hit me - otherwise it just sounds too abrupt to me.

3. What's wrong wtih "It was possbile that ..." - Your sentence is: It was possible that he wasn't upset - whilst it may not be wrong, I didn't like the sound of was/wasn't so that is why I changed it.

Hope that makes sense.
I get it now. Now it makes sense. Thanks, Optilang.
