Hi

I heard it on TV. Is the red phrase natural English?

Stop the car here but don't kill the engine.

Is there a better way to say the same?

Thanks,

Tom

... but don't turn off the engine is better if you want to avoid the word 'kill'.

Mr. TomIs the red phrase natural English?

It's not familiar to all native speakers. From the word but onwards, I've heard leave the engine running or leave the engine on.
