I had been to his place last week. But, Tom didn’t tell me anything about this incident. Might be, he was afraid to reveal me the truth. Indeed, I was perplexed by his facial expressions as if he wants to tell me something, but don’t know what hold him back. So, I was right that there is something he is hiding from me.

CreativeguruI had been went to his place last week. But, Tom didn’t tell me anything about this incident. Might be (I would use 'maybe', he was afraid to reveal me the truth. Indeed, I was perplexed by his facial expressions as if he wants wanted to tell me something, but don’t know didn't know what hold held him back. So, I was right that there is something he is hiding from me.

I made a few simple corrections. I could be wrong.
Thanks a lot New2grammar indeed whatever changes you did sounds correct to me thanks a lot
We should not use had been/have been when we are specifying time. I would prefer saying, I been to his place last week. Please correct me if I'm wrong and rest I found as correct.
