SUMMARY
A highly motivated, determined, and dedicated 29 year old general practitioner (GP) with practical work experience in conducting evidence based medicine during my 16th month compulsory national service, when I was working as a GP in a health clinic handling most aspects of a GP responsibilities. My appreciation for importance of “ evidence based medicine” has led me to propose surveys and researches to gather appropriate data concerning most daily encountered medical problems. My commitment to humanitarian activities and my professional obligations led to a two-week voluntary work for Red Crescent during the very first days of catastrophic xx earthquake ( date), when I experienced working with the least equipment and facilities during a natural disaster of massive number of casualties and lots of emergencies. I spent two month of my internship and one month of my clerkship in a rural health clinic where I became familiar with the the country health system and policies in rural area while under supervision I was responsible for daily patient care and visits, handling and updating patients records, doing patients follow-ups, vaccination, pregnancy and pediatric routine cares, birth control, consultation, monitoring community health and addressing any health problem in the community. I proposed a survey during this invaluable experience of my internship to find out the results of failure of patient for following up their routing visits especially for pregnant women and juvenile’s which resulted in 23 percent increase in their attendance. The rest of my internship was in a large medical center in xxx city during which we were trained for conducting a wide array of medical skills in all medical disciplines. I understand the value of research in medicine and have always been keen to conduct practical researches to solve some problems of community or bring new treatment to practice, which could be noticed from my research background. I have always been eager to connect my current knowledge to perpetual stream of new medical breakthroughs and practices through reading reputable medical journals, however my research background makes me to be critical to new article and research papers form content and methodology perspective. Hi,
I'm afraid I don't have time to look in detail right now, but a general first comment is that your summary and work experiences are much too wordy. They should be in point form, with lots of white space.
Best wishes, Clive

Hi Clive,
Yes, I agree that my summary is too long, Shall I eliminate it and instead write a cover letter?
Is this summary suitable to be a cover letter? Do I need a cover letter for a recruiting agency afterall?
What about the rest of CV?
Thank you very mauch for your reply and kind remarks.

Hi,
Yes, I agree that my summary is too long, Shall I eliminate it and instead write a cover letter? I would just make it shorter and in point form. Think of it as a chance to highlight your strengths.
Is this summary suitable to be a cover letter? You could use parts of it, but focus on the purpose of a cover letter.
Say what job/kind of job you want
Introduce yourself and your skills briefly, in terms of why people should choose you for this job.
Ask for an interview or whatever action you want the agency to take
Do I need a cover letter for a recruiting agency after all? I don't know. I think it's probably a good idea.
What about the rest of CV? I've added a few comments.
There are also books etc. available that give sample CV's for professional people. Have you had a chance to look at such things? You should.
Best wishes, Clive

Hi,
As you mentioned I wrote the summary and work experince in point form and made them shorter.
Would you kindly give me your feedback about the revised edition below:
It's usual to begin with a short 'OBJECTIVE section eg
OBJECTIVE
To obtain a position as a family doctor in a rural area.
Summary
Just put stuff that you really think will help you to get the reader's attention, and make him/her say 'Gee, I should interview this person'.
Put your points on separate lines,e g
- Highly motivated and dedicated 29 year old general practitioner
- graduated from a medical school listed in WHO and IMED directories
- Appreciate the importance of “evidence based medicine”, executed surveys to collect needed data for this
Committed to humanitarian activities with a two-week voluntary work for Red Crescent
etc, etc. Don't put everything, choose the highlights. Focus on what you are/what you can do, not on what you did
Work Experience
*** Health Clinic, place (2006 - 2007) Put dates in left margin
General Practitioner (GP)
Again, point form !!! Put your basic duties plus the important stuff. Not any trivia.
- served in the above health clinic as a GP, handling primary health care issues, emergency settings, psychiatric cases, executing comprehensive patient workout, providing full medical and psychiatric consultation, drug prescription, requesting x rays and labs, referring to higher medical centers and specialties.

Hi Clive,
Comparing my first CV to the last one on this page one realizes that there has been significant improvement. It is obvious that this all is because of your invaluable contribution and kind assistance.
Thanks a million for your major help and dedicated work. You are doing a great job in this forume.
Would you mind if I asked a couple of other questions?
Best Wishes
Concerning objective section: I intend to get a work in rural area of work as a medical researcher assistance? Shall I put it before summary section?
OBJECTIVE
To obtain a post as a GP in rural area or work as a medical researcher assistant
Is it ok?
The reason I put inforamtion about IELTS test and my medical shool in the summary section, and also mentioned IELTS Score in skill section is because the two primary conditions for obtaining a work in that country are these ones, so is it ok to put them in the summary section?
I'm good with working with SPSS software wich is a statistical software and is used very often in medical research, should i mention it in summary section, or does it suffice to mention it in skill section?
I think my age would be important to them, Where does it go in this CV?
I lectured for groups of patients and personnel in weekly basis, shall I write:
Delivered lectures about most common and important health issues for groupes of patients and personnel on weekly basis. ?
