Hi teachers~

I found an expression 'land a job,' and

I am wondering if 'land a job' and 'get a job' are interchangeable.

I have heard 'get a job' mostly but not 'land a job.'

Thanks in advance~

I am wondering if 'land a job' and 'get a job' are interchangeable. Yes, but 'land a job' also implies that it is a good job and that it is unexpected.

Site Hint: Check out our list of pronunciation videos.

You "land" a job the way you "land" a fish. The implication is that you went to some trouble and were glad to get it.

Thank you so much.

Thank you~
