Letter to the ambassador.

How do you adress the ambassador?
Your excelence?
Hello Guest

An ambassador is addressed in person as 'Your Excellency'.

In a letter, he or she should be addressed as 'Dear Ambassador' (or 'Dear High Commissioner' if representing a British Commonwealth country).

In a very formal letter, you could say 'Your Excellency'.

I have to write a letter to the Ambassador of Japan for a project in my world cultures class. How would I adress it to them? As "Your Excellency", "Dear Ambassador" or what... [:^)]

Hello Guest

If I were writing to the Ambassador of Japan about my world cultures project, I would address him as 'Dear Ambassador'.
