Hi,

Could you guys correct my phrasing? This is for a dating app.

Does this sound good:

"I like the simple and fun chemistry you can make with new people", please help me rephrase this sentence.

Also:

"I like a girl who can talk about traveling for hours, and isn't afraid to drink adventurously", I hope it doesn't sound weird.

Thanks.

Largely this is fine. The only slight quibble I have is that I perceive "chemistry" between people to be quite a complicated matter, so it's a bit unexpected to have it called "simple".

Tal262"I like a girl who can talk about traveling for hours, and isn't afraid to drink adventurously", I hope it doesn't sound weird.

"drink adventurously" does not sound very appealing to me. It sounds like a euphemism for saying that you are a heavy drinker (of alcohol) and want to meet another heavy drinker.

Tal262and isn't afraid to drink adventurously

The subject of this entire sentence is "I", so it should be "am not afraid" instead of "isn't afraid"

The subject of "isn't afraid" is "who", referring to the girl.

The massage I'm trying to get across is that I'm looking for a girl that likes to go out and drink for fun (not in the alcoholic kind of attitude), and I was trying to give it an interesting phrasing. Do you have a different idea to it?

Also, the euphemism part has opened my eyes, thank you.

Personally I wouldn't mention drinking at all -- not specifically. You can just say e.g. "a girl who likes to go out and have fun".
