Ever stumbled upon a song of which the lyrics left you, bluntly speaking, thinking or even saying 'what the '? Well I've found one of those. And I'm wondering if anyone can decipher it for me. The song's 'Band Aid Covers the Bullet Hole' by Scarling.

Bees in the caramel and I'm not afraid
Surgeons make incisions
what a mess they've made
Tearing at my skin leaving knives in my brain
Stabbing at the voices making me insane

Girls vomit candy and lies that they're fed
Boys whisper lullabies and wet their beds
Eat TV violence on the toast that they spread
Talking with their mouths full here is what they've said

Say Hello to my Little friend the world is getting ugly and we did it again....
Say Hello to my Little friend the world is getting ugly and we did it again...
Ohh Uh Ohh The Band Aid only covers the Bullet Hole
Ohh Uh Ohh The Band Aid only covers the Bullet Hole

LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA

Spiders in my hair and guns on my mind
Thinking about the people who've been so unkind
If looks could kill them
I might make myself blind
Startled at the reasons that I just can't find
Kids break the dishes they crash on the floor
Parents hate the noise and shove them out the door
Robots steal emotions hide them under their beds
It's gets them so excited
Here is what they've said......

Say Hello to my Little friend the world is getting ugly and we did it again....
Say Hello to my Little friend the world is getting ugly and we did it again...
Ohh Uh Ohh The Band Aid only covers the Bullet Hole

LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA BLAH BLAH

Ok have you ever taken English at a high level? Ok I can't decipher it for you but i can help you get started. Here's an example of what I wanted to say " girls vomit candy and lies that they're fed” from what I can gather, from connotations of candy it's sweet, it's not healthy, candy can be quite addictive, erm lets see... and "the lies that they're fed" seems to me like things that you are told, and you take them for granted that they are truth, when they really aren't. Food is a common part of or lives we live on it. Being fed lies sounds like they are being lied to all the time. And it's just become another part of their lives. Search for connotations in particular words and phrases: metaphors, similes: The whole set, figurative language. The "Bees in the caramel and I’m not afraid" has confused me. One time I’ll have a look at this and see what I can get from it. The only thing I hate about that is it makes you sick of the poem/song/story you are analyzing. You could love this story to start off with but then you just can't stand the sight of it. Anyway I’ll leave you with that.
I love that song!Emotion: smile Maybe that other person is right, but when I read the lyrics "Girls vomit candy and lies that they're fed," I thought it was talking about bulimic girls...

It's me again from the previous post about helping decifer it Emotion: stick out tongue hi! hehe
anyway. yeah it coudl be bulimic girls. As i said it can have so many different meanings to it. but you will get a rough idea that runs current through out it. you just need to find it. And yeah it's a good song. I like their song "Last Day I Was Happy." maybe i shoudl become a member here... hrmm... i shall ponder it * *** ok! Emotion: stick out tongue
Yeah hey it's me from the previous, previous post about getting started on the song lyrics. Decided I would become a member. It does sound like bulimic girls at the surface. I think I went a bit deep in the first go lol. Yeah it could be about bulimic girls. You’ll find you'll get loads of different interpretations of the text. But you will get a current idea running through it - Just need to find it. One day I WILL sit down and try and figure it all out. Except my essay writing skills are very poor. So I’ll just do it in my own format muwahaha. Emotion: stick out tongue
Do you think you could tell me what these lyrics mean?...

The colors have built up in my mind
They're bleeding through my heart
And nobody knows that they exist
Look at my bursted veins
Now do you see the red in me
It's a sign for the end

Only the end of the red
Will show you my blue side

I've been given my brush and plate
But where will i paint my life
And will the buyer in the sky
Believe in what i dream
And it's so hard for me to explain
What i will miss
To myself

...If you wouldn't mind, that'd be great;)

As far as I can gather, the colours I think, represent the emotion that's locked up inside the person. The colours building up in the person's mind: all the anger, hate, sorrow, confusion. Bleeding to the heart - probably supposed to mean they hurt and they are begining to overflow, flowing through every part of the being.

The burst veins. Showing that the person can no longer hide these emotions they keep inside, it's become too much, and they can no longer hide it within themselves. Nor can they any longer survive with these thoughts within them.

The "brush and plate" is a sign that they person is being given a chance to explain how they feel, what they think. Giving them a chance to speak.

I think this song is basically about opening yourself up, how hard it can be to explain what you feel, and hiding your thoughts from people around you. It's a nice song, reminds me of me..
yeah i have no clue about that song but i was hoping someone could help me out with over my head by the fray it confuses me so much i mean i get some of it but now all of it

I never knew I never knew that everything Was falling through That everyone I knew Was waiting on a queue To turn and run When all I needed was the truth But that's how it's got to be It's coming down to Nothing more than apathy I'd rather run the other way Than stay and see The smoke and who's still Standing when it clears Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind Let's rearrange I wish you were a stranger I could disengage Say that we agree And then never change Soften a bit Until we all just get along But that's disregard You find another friend And you discard As you lose the argument In a cable car Hanging above As the canyon comes between Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind And suddenly I become a part of your past I'm becoming the part That don't last I'm losing you And its effortless Without a sound We lose sight of the ground In the throw around Never thought that you wanted To bring it down I won't let it go down 'Till we torch it ourselves Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind
whoa why does it paste liek that??... well thanks! bye
hi, i am gonna tell u what i think the lyrics mean but it may not be rite cuz this is the kinda song that has a diff meaning from person to person.

Bees in the caramel and I'm not afraid
Surgeons make incisions
what a mess they've made
Tearing at my skin leaving knives in my brain
Stabbing at the voices making me insane

getting sumone angry and not caring

ppl(surgeons) sqrewing with others to mess them up

for the last line i would say that ppl have made him so crazy that he is attempting murder

Girls vomit candy and lies that they're fed
Boys whisper lullabies and wet their beds
Eat TV violence on the toast that they spread
Talking with their mouths full here is what they've said

girls taking in sweet lies and repeating them(vomit)

idk really about the boys one but i would say it means that boys rn't as tough as they make it seem

watch TV violence and the lies that they spread

the last line just has to do with eating ^^

Say Hello to my Little friend the world is getting ugly and we did it again....
Say Hello to my Little friend the world is getting ugly and we did it again...
Ohh Uh Ohh The Band Aid only covers the Bullet Hole
Ohh Uh Ohh The Band Aid only covers the Bullet Hole

it's saying that only we messed up the world no one else and then the bandade thing is saying that we can try to cover up sumthing but that wont clean it or fix it

Here is what they've said......

deff thinking about killing the ppl who have messed with them or been "unkind"

if looks could kill....saying that they would wish themselves blind so not to kill them becuz they'd be dead rite away

surprised that all this is happening

kids r misbehaving and the parents dont want to deal with it so they just send them away or disown them (im not sure if this is a stab at the kids being bad or the parents barely caring or both)

machines r taking over r lives, meaning r emotions also (now the robot could be a machine as in like a job or it could represent like a boss or...the man)

so i dont know if this has cleared anything at all or just made it worst so sorry or your welcome. either one....bye! =D
