It has been argued whether it is compulsory for high schools to require their students to spend a certain amount of time doing volunteer work or not. From my point of view, this is such a good idea and I will attempt to prove this point in the following essay.

It is undeniably true that taking part in community service has its perks. Firts of all, it teaches children what it means to be a good citizen. When meeting people in need, they will have a sense of satisfaction and appreciate what they are having, especially it cultivates compassion and sympathy. The missions of mission of schools is not only teaching academic subjects but also morality. What 's more, it is safe to claim that more teenagers have little knowledge about the outside world. This is primarily because they are overprotected and they spend most of the time studying. By doing volunteer jobs, they can improve soft skills, which helps to prepare for their future. Last but not least, that students are required to do volunteering can make a huge difference to community. If all teenagers do community service, the number of people who are helped will increase significantly. Communities tend to be thrive and positive with the helping hands of teens. Not only are students making their district a better place, they are bulding a strong, healthy connection. All students can make a difference.

In a nutshell, consider its benefits, I strongly believe that high school students should be required to do volunteer work.
