Hi

Injuries from the former and latter stretches may involve excessively squeezing the spinal discs, jamming together the spinal joints, and pinching the spinal nerves emerging from the lumbar vertebrae.

--- Does it say that when you perform these stretches you may squeeze the spinal discs etc.? Or maybe it says that these injuries may be the result of squeezing the spinal discs when doing these stretches?

By the way: Isn't "squeezing" and "jamming together" the same thing?

thanks

I don't see the distinction. It's describing the type of injuries that can potentially occur when you perform these stretches.

They're similar, but "jamming together" implies more of a sudden jarring, while "squeezing" is a more gradual increase of applied pressure.
