In the TV series Friends, I always see people taking some kind of medicine in the morning after the night of drinking (btw, can you rephrase this sentence nicer for me?). So can you tell me what kind of medicine it is? Is it really effective and safe to reduce the harm of drinking? Thanks.

They probably have a headache, part of the "hangover" you get if you drink too much, and they are probably taking aspirin or some other headache medicine.

"After a night of drinking" sounds perfectly natural to me!

Hi GG, do you suggest using " in A morning after A night of drinking" instead of using those "the"? Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't realize what the actual area of confusion was.

The morning after a night of drinking.

Use "the" with morning because there is only one morning that follows any particular night. Use "a" with the night because until it was mentioned (in that sentence) it was not predefined.
Thanks for this perfect explanation.
