hm, I seriously would think that most of the popular english movies from Hollywood & any other movie productions would be hard for non-english speakers to understand, unless you had some sort of remote control to slow down the talking pace[which I doubt exists]. But you could try more of a Children's/family category such as: A secret garden[my childhood favourite], A series of unfortunate events cartoons like SpongeBob/Rugrats, Hook[or maybe even Peter Pan].

They might be worth a look. Good luck.
For English beginners, I suggest:
"Friends", although it's not a movie but a longlife TV series[Y]or (y)

basically, U can get every possible daily language u want to know in this TV series...

With ur DVD player, turn on English subtitles while u watching, that way, u can clearly see every single word of every single dialouge, that'll help u a lot...

That's why I love DVDs...

Nice viewing...

if you understood Chocolate I realy don't see any problem for others movies...trust yourself a little bit more!:)
A few french actors play in Chocolate and so have a foreign accent, which can be easier for foreign people to understand than native-speakers actors.
Series like Friends are easy to understand, and when you watch a dvd for the first time, use the subtitles, (it helps me integrate the sounds and words), and the next time you see it you will find it easier to understand. good luck jon but you will see, after a few times, it is gonna be a lot easier!!

I also can recommend ’Friends’, I’ve learnt a lot from this series and it’s very useful for everyday English. If you’re looking for a kind of movies which are easy to understand and gripping I think the cartoons would be very good for you. I watch a lot of ones on DVD and, in my opinion, they are not only funny, but also good for learning English. My favorites are The Emperor's New Groove, Ice Age.
A great movie with quite easy language and easy to understand is "Starsky and Hutch".
It's pretty funny too.
You may watch these movies. I think that they have easy language as far as I remember.

The Count of Monte Cristo
The Green Mile
Pirates of the Caribbean
Man on Fire

Finding Nemo
Shark Tale
Shrek 1,2

Nutting Hill

Mr.Bean will be so helpful Emotion: stick out tongue
