During the first week of last May I went on a holiday to Sichuan. First, I found some photos of interesting places which were not too far away from Chengdu. I decided to go and see the big Buddha in Leshan and Mount Emei. Next, I called a travel guide whose telepone number was in a newspaper. He told me that I could go on a two-day trip to Leshan and Ernei, which wasn’t too expensive. My friends, Chen Rong and Wei Bin, said they would come with me. We took a few bottles of water, some apples and oranges. The next day we got up at five o’clcok. First, we went to Leshan, where we climbed all the way up the mountain to se the Buddha. The Buddha was really big. Looking up at the large head and down at the large feet made us feel ourselves so small. Wei Bin took photos of us in front of the Buddha. The next morning, we climbed Mount Emei. There are many old templed and the forest int eh mountain was very beautiful. The monkeys were the liveliest on Mount Emei. They were not at all afraid of people. They came to you quickly and touched you. The monkeys looked sweet, but they were very naughty. A small monkey suddenly put its hand in Chen Rong’s pocket. Wei Bin took out some peanuts and it was fun to see the mokney eat from his hand. Finally, we were on the way back to Chengdu. We were all very tired and slept on the bus, but our travel was really unforgettable.

Some minor corrections and suggestions from me:

During the first week of last May, I went on a holiday trip to Sichuan province in China. When I first arrived there, I took some photos of interesting places which are not too far away from Chengdu. After that, I wanted to go and visit the famous Leshan Giant Buddha which is located in the southern part of Sichuan province. So, I decided to contact my travel guide whom I got his phone number from a newspaper advertising. He then offered me a package deal of two-day trip to Leshan and Ernei with a very reasonable price. So, I made up my mind to go there with my friends, Chen Rong and Wei Bin. Then, we started packaging our bags and had decided to bring along with us a few bottles of mineral water, some apples and oranges.

p/s: truly hope that you wouldn't mind about these alterations. please note that i might have made some mistakes too. cheers. Emotion: smile

Some minor corrections and suggestions from me:

The next day, we woke up at five o'clock early in the morning. We headed towards our first destination which was the city of Leshan. Then, we climbed all the way up the mountain to see that Leshan Giant Buddha. Unsuprisingly, this Buddha statue is tremendously big. Looking up at its large head and down to its large feet made us feel ourselves as small as a dwarf. Wei Bin took a few shots of our pictures posing in front of this largest carved stone Buddha statue in the world.

p/s 1: another alteration from me; truly hope that you wouldn't mind about it.

p/s 2 :I have italicised and underlined a sentence (which I have altered from the original one). But then, I am not sure either it's grammatically correct or not. Though I am not the original author of this essay, please, could anyone explain to me about this sentences (both the original and the altered ones)? I would truly appreciate it. Thanks in advance! Emotion: clap
