Hello,

could you tell me please if these sentences are right?

1.A courier will bring/provide us with food while we are in the cottage. (I wanted to use the word products but I was dubious about it.)

2.The fears( or her fears?) show that she has a high level of anxiety.

3.You don`t even need to take your belongings with you. Anything that we may need is there.

4.She didn't invite her maids here, as she wanted to spend the vacation with her friends not with Maids.

5.'Why don't you call his office?' Isn't it a mistake to say 'why don't you call him in the office' too?

Hi,

could you tell me please if these sentences are right?

1.A courier will bring/provide us with food while we are in the cottage. (I wanted to use the word products but I was dubious about it. You don't need it.) Find another word than 'courier'.

2.The fears( or her fears?) show that she has a high level of anxiety.
Either. 'The' indicates you expect the reader to be already aware of these fears, perhaps because you have already mentioned them.

3.You don`t even need to take your belongings with you. Anything that we may need is there.

4.She didn't invite her maids here, as she wanted to spend the vacation with her friends and not with maids. Where I live, most people don't even have one maid.Emotion: smile

5.'Why don't you call his office?' Isn't it a mistake to say 'why don't you call him in the office' too?
No, that's OK, but we usually say 'at the office'.

Hi,

Thank you. I could't find another word. Could you please suggest one?

Hi,
I don't clearly understand what you mean.

Maybe
eg We'll eat take-out food while we are at the cottage.
eg We'll arrange to have food delivered while we are at the cottage.

Clive
Hi,

You said that I should have found another word than the ''Courier.'' I didn't find another one Emotion: sad.

Thank you for your suggestions Emotion: smile.

I have to put it in the past simple and change it in this way; He has arranged to have food delivered while we are at the cottage. Is the way how I changed it correct?

So I don't need to use the synonym of the word 'Courier', right?

Nina
Hi,

Yes, that's fine.
But Past Simple would be
He arranged to have food delivered while we were at the cottage.

Thank you so much!

Hi,

One more question about it. I can't use "while we were" because those people are in their cottage at the moment.

If I rewrite it in this way would it be a mistake?

My husband has arranged to have food delivered while we are at the cottage.
Hi,
That's fine.
But you said you needed to use Past Simple.
