System bug. Emotion: angry

Many of us can't get the drop-down smiley-face icon button choices to work.

Hover over the icon to find out the character sequence you need, and type that instead.

I edited your post, placing a colon and right parenthesis in place of your icon choice, and it worked, so you should be able to see it now.

(Sometimes you have to put the character sequence within brackets [ ]. Sometimes you don't. Sometimes neither method works, and you can't use that emoticon at all. Emotion: smile )

Some people on the forum don't like them, including moderators if I'm not mistaken, but there is no grand conspiracy to stop us from using them.

I noticed you also used an exclamation mark. That's already suspect in the eyes of some. Emotion: sad
