Hello,

may I ask if those passive sentences are correct?

Active: The terrorist attack put an end to hope for a better future.

There should be two possible ways how to transform this active sentence into passive sentence.

Passive: An end was put to hope for a better future by the terrorist attack. (?)

Passive: Hope for a better future was put an end to by the terrorist attack. (?)

And then this sentence: He slept in that bed.

I guess this sentence can't be changed into passive... Am I right?

Thank you Emotion: smile

The first passive sentence sounds wrong. An end was put to hope... as if hope is a person.

The second passive sentence is more appropriate. although there is a sentence structure mistake there.

It should like like this:

Hope for a better future was put to an end by the terrorist attack.
Thank you Emotion: smile

The first passive sentence sounds to me clumsy too, but there should be two possible ways and I can't figure it out...
