What is the differences between Personality and Character?
+1
Personality is on the surface; character is deep inside.

You have a great personality if you are out-going and always know the right thing to say to people.
You have a great character if you are honest even when it's difficult to be so.

You can almost fake personality, but you can't fake character.

The difference between personality and character is somewhat like the difference between weather and climate.

"Out of character" may also refer to a time when a fictional character's behavior is different from, and inconsistent with, how the character's personality (particularly their mental and emotional state) has been established in the past, without any apparent reason.Another occurrence in works of fiction that could be seen as a form of OOC occurs when a character acts in a misleading manner in regard to their personality, motives, intelligence, or the like. Upon showing the audience such a character's 'true' personality, their behavior may be regarded as inconsistent with the 'false' character who had occurred throughout the work.
personality is like a mask which can be changed acoordng to circumstances.....
and character can not be changed in any condition.

Personality is the external appearance of a person. It may be fabricated or natural, a pretence or real, cooked-up or just as it is.

Character is the internalreality in a person. It cannot be camaflauged, altered or masked like personality can be. Character emerges when everything else is laid to rest. Character is the tranparent and true inner nature of a person that evolves from the chices one makes in life.
