Hi

One guy told another about how he reacted when his friend told him that he was going to propose.

Part of me wanted to say, 'No man, run the other way, you're too young. We got stuff to do. Girls to bed.' But deep down, I was jealous, man. I got pieces of meat on my plate. He had a woman who loved him.

I understand that there were still so many women they could go to bed with?

As for those pieces of meat on his plate - I don't get it?

Sometimes when a woman feels that she is being used for sex she may retort "You treat me like piece of meat". This means that she feels unloved or not really appreciated, somthing that can be thrown away if you don't like it.

So the speaker here says "I have pieces of meat on my plate" meaning I can have these women when I want them but the relationships do not mean anything, these women do not love him. The relationships are not satisfying for him and he is expressing a little regret.

I see. So he's saying he only had women he went to bed with and his friend had someone who truly loved him.

Thanks for your help.
