hi,
would you rephrase the part I underlined? not sure even wha the subject is..
"Enterprises are increasingly deploying a mix of both in-house and cloud-based applications," said Joe Skorupa, research vice president, data center transformation, at Gartner. "As this shift to hybrid networks occurs, ensuring application performance and end-user productivity is critical, creating a need to integrate access to corporate applications, as well as SaaS, in a single pervasive framework."
Thank you,
m

It's quite concentrated.
All of the users within a given corporation must be able to conveniently use all of their needed applications without leaving the single framework.
I guess "pervasive" is like "ubiquitous" here. The single framework reaches into allthe applications - not to mention SaaS.
I'd say "integrated access" means about the same thing.
I suspect "platform" and "framework" are closely related here.

Hello Avangi,
Thank you for the explanation. I got the main idea of the sentence but would you tell me what the subject is? I think I understood what that means but can't see the structure of the sentence. It still looks broken.
Thank you in advance,
m

mitsuwao23not sure even wha the subject is..Sorry! I thought you meant the "subject" of Joe Skorupa's remarks!

mitsuwao23As this shift to hybrid networks occurs, ensuring application performance and end-user productivity is critical, creating a need to integrate access to corporate applications, as well as SaaS, in a single pervasive framework. As shift occurs, ENSURING IS CRITICAL, creating need to integrate.
The "creating" phrase does not have a subject. The participial phrase modifies the main clause.
That is, it modifies the fact that "ensuring is critical."
As we move forward, doing X becomes more important, creating a new set of needs.
(The subject of the sentence is a gerund. But "creating" is a present participle.)
Thank you! sounds great!
