H,

Would you explain the underlined part for me?

It’s not all that hard, of course…being that a whole host of the NHL’s top hockey players are Oakley-equipped smashers rocking their high-tech O visors whenever they suit up for battle. So it was only fitting that some of O's best scooped up top honors at the NHL Awards Show in Las Vegas - lead by the Anaheim Ducks' Corey Perry, who grabbed the coveted Hart Trophy as the League's Most Valuable Player to his team. He also claimed the Maurice Richard Award for most goals during the season.

Thank you,

M

Oakley is a manufacturer of Hockey equipment. A "smasher" is another term for a hockey player (they tend to smash into one another and the protective panels separating them from the audience). "Rocking" as it is used here means "wearing". A high-tech O visor is a particular piece of equipment that the players wear when the put on all of their equipment (suit up) and go on the ice to play the game.

Hope this helps. If not, maybe you can ask Canadian45!
Thank you, they made sense!
