AlpheccaStars5% percent in 1995 and substantially increased their share of the total.

What do you mean by the phrase 'increase their share of the total'?

However, the increase was not equally proportioned across all three services; in particular, mobile phones represented less than 5% percent in 1995 and substantially increased their share of the total.

Here is the mathematical reasoning.

1. The total minutes for all the calls in 1995 was 72+35+5 = 112 billion minutes (That is a lot of talking, isn't it?) The share that was for mobile phones was 5 / 112, or less than 5%

2. The total minutes for all calls in 2002 was 70 + 60 + 45 = 175 billion minutes. The share that was for mobile phones was 45 / 175 = 25%

The share of minutes that was for mobile phones was five times higher in 2002 than it was in 1995. That is a substantial increase, isn't it?
