Given is the table illustrating the number of both native and non-native speakers of six different languages. Generally, Mandarin Chinese outnumbers all other languages in terms of speakers, whereas Portuguese is the least common.

A closer look at the graph reveals that Mandarin Chinese takes the lead with its over 1 billion speakers; including 900 million natives. These figures are closely followed by English, spoken by nearly 950 million people. Interestingly, despite being less used as a first spoken language, English has substantially more foreign speakers than Mandarin Chinese.

Further down the list are Hindi speakers and Spanish speakers, both of which have roughly equal figures with 490 million and 420 million in total respectively. Moreover, the number of people using Hindi and Spanish is approximately twice as high as the Arabic-and-Portuguese-speaking population. It is also noteworthy that Portuguese speakers, though being at the bottom of the list in number, have the most striking difference between natives and foreigners, which is in a ratio of 20 to 1.

Given is (That is very very unnatural and awkward. In Task 1 write for a science or math teacher. ) The table illustrating (Not a good word choice for a list of numbers in a table.) lists the number of both native and non-native speakers of six different languages. (Ok, You must start a new paragraph here. The main topic has changed from describing the graphic to analyzing its contents. A change of topic demands a new paragraph. Also, you have not completed the description. You never mentioned that these were the most widely-spoken languages in the world. You did not tell us that the order in the table is by number of native speakers. You did not tell us that the total of all speakers was also in the list.) Generally, Mandarin Chinese outnumbers all other languages in terms of speakers, whereas Portuguese is the least common.

Despite being less used as a first spoken language, English has substantially more (You are in a detail paragraph, so give numbers, not descriptions of quantities.) foreign speakers than Mandarin Chinese.
