Undeniably, people in modern societies have to face with huge pressure from various issues such as unemployment, family contradictions, and illnesses. Hence, finding appropriate methods to reduce stress is very crucial to maintain a healthy life. Each person has different ways to deal with stress. To me, watching movies, listening to music and doing some exercises are three best ways I prefer to alleviate stress.

The first way I feel really effective in eliminating stress is watching movies. Viewing another world in the film with different people and in different places can be enchanting and allows me to temporarily forget all of deadlines, reports, and customers. Moreover, movies seem to stimulate me to follow adventures of other characters, making me concern more about characters’ lives rather than my own life.

The second way I choose to alleviate stress is by listening to music. I often open music when cooking, taking a shower, driving my car or walking my dog. Whenever my mood is down, music really helps me relieve anxiety and increase my energy. I am quite fond of songs that are lively, strong and emotional which can be seen in some well-known music bands such as Westlife and Backstreet Boys.

Last but not least, doing some exercise is also my preferred strategy that works to manage tension. I do exercise every morning and I feel exercising is very effective in reducing my fatigue as well as improving my alertness and concentration. The exercises I prefer include walking, running and deep breathing. It is a very good way to start a new day with full of energy and excitement.
