It is clear that more people bought computers each year over the eight-year period. In terms of academic level, the majority of college students, bachelors and postgraduates possessed a computer.
In 2002, more than half of the people polled owned a computer.The percentage gradually increased over the following years, reaching nearly 80% by 2010.
Looking at the data on computer ownership by level of schooling, it can be seen that in 2002, those without or with a high school diploma who had a computer were the minority, with about 15% and 35%, respectively. However, those figures had changed drastically by 2010, almost tripling to more than 40% and doubled to almost 70%. In 2002, the majority of college students, bachelors, and postgraduates owned a computer, accounting for approximately 50%, 70%, and 80%, respectively.
The last decade has seen a substantial growth in computer ownership in general and across all educational levels.
