Topic: Some argue younger people are not suitable for important positions in the government, while others think this is a good idea.

Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It is sometimes argued whether the younger generation is qualified for critical positions in the government. While young employees have less time to accumulate experiences, I contend that the creative mindset of the young generation will benefit in many ways.

Young candidates should not be given important positions for the following two reasons. First, young people are characterized by immature and inexperienced nature. Therefore, they tend to make decisions without careful consideration. When those are given leading positions in the government, their imprudent actions may cause serious results and they have to pay money in compensation. Second, young people who always depend on parents in their adolescence are inclined to be more hot-tempered and more self-centered. Therefore, when they impose their ideas on other, it is more difficult to convince them to change initial strategies and admit mistakes that cause serious loss.

However, I am convinced by those who agree that young candidates should be given more opportunities to do government tasks. First, young employees come up with new notions and innovations and show a better sense of creativity in government operations. They are expected to bring their innovative style to the process of government tasks which is sometimes rigid and conservative. For instance, young leaders develop the idea of applying online social networks to interact with customers. Second, this is an effective method to change the government’s attitude to the traditional approach. Young leaders could be a source of inspiration for the youth to step forward and contribute something to the benefit of the country. For example, Jack Ma, a well-known businessman, usually shares his story, journey, and thoughts with the younger generation to provide an insight into Trading Economics he has acquired through his career.

In conclusion, I believe that there are certain areas where the young will deliver better performance while seniors may surpass the young in some specific fields. However, it is better to offer the young important position in the government.

You wrote nearly 330 words. The minimum is 250. You will not lose points for writing more; however, longer essays generally do not get high scores. There are many reasons.

First, the longer the essay, the more chances you have to make errors, and you will lose points for each of those errors.

Second, your writing may be repetitious and wordy. This will cost you points in task completion or coherence and cohesion.

Third, you will likely stray off-topic, and examiners will deduct points if you are not focused on the topic. You will also be tempted to use weak or unsound arguments or even contradict yourself. Develop just two or three argument points with examples. It is much better to have two well-developed and fleshed-out argument points than to have four which are just individual separate statements.

Fourth, you will take a lot of time writing, and not have time left over to proofread your essay. You will miss the silly mistakes, and that lowers your score.
Fifth, you will not have enough time to spend on Task 1, and get a lower score there.

Aim to write around 270 words for Task 2. Practice writing a lot of essays so you get a feeling for the length.

It is sometimes argued whether members of the younger generation is qualified for ("qualified" is not the correct word. A young person may have all the qualifications of education and experience. The question is should they be chosen for these positions.) should be awarded critical positions in the government. While younger people employees have had less time to accumulate experiences, I contend that the creative mindset of the young generation will benefit in many ways.

(That is completely off-topic. The topic is: are they as competent as older people to perform these jobs? Not that they will get benefits from having those jobs.)

Therefore, they tend to make decisions without careful consideration. When those they are given leading positions in the government, their imprudent actions may cause serious results and they have to pay money in compensation. (That does not make sense. Government officials do not have to pay for mistakes, do they? Can you give an example?) Second, young people who always depend on parents in their adolescence are inclined to be more hot-tempered and more self-centered. Therefore, when they impose their ideas on other, (wrong form) it is more difficult to convince them to change initial strategies and admit mistakes that cause serious loss. (Please give an example. You must flesh out our statements.)

However, I am convinced by those who agree that (Avoid writing you position or opinion in body paragraphs. It should be clear in the introduction.) there is much merit to giving young people positions of responsibility in governmental organizations. candidates should be given more opportunities to do government tasks.
