In Somalia are the devils white. We are calling them djinn and they lurk everywhere. They crawl in humans and animals, create illness, play nasty tricks with them and make them crazy. If you something lay up anywhere and it is missed suddenly, then you know the djinn is behind them. My mother shouted to them:”He! Devil! Go away from my things. Their arn’t belong you, you are undesirable!” Then she had shown me that you have to turn away and rather doing anything else; if the djinn is away, you will find the lost thing again soon. My mother knows everything about the djinns and how you get rid them. She knows many charms and formulars, with which leafs or barks you could get rid them if you were ill. She collects plants, cooks roots or give them raw to us for eat. Especially leafs and mushrooms she keeps in liverbags. She could read in smoke and in the stars and always knows the right time. Course of her magic focus she would respected and the peoples brought ill animals to her – I remember me well at this time, when I was a child.

I was burn in the desert of Somalia and I don’t know who many childs my mother gave birth. That’s why many babies died right after birth. As the most Somalis we owns camels and goats and live from their milk. In accordance of tradition my brothers guards the camels more likely and we girls look after the shorter animals.
Hi Greece80,

I am not sure that my changes are accrurate. It's a first pass. Have a look and see if it is better.

In Somalia the devils are white. We are call them djinn and they lurk everywhere. They crawl in humans and animals, whereupon they create illnesses, play nasty tricks, and make them crazy. If you put something anywhere and it is suddenly missing, then you know the djinn is responsible and is nearby. My mother shouted to them, ”He! Devil! Go away from my things. They don't belong you. You are undesirable!” Then she had shown me that you have to turn away and do nothing; if the djinn is away, you will find the lost thing again soon.

My mother knows everything about the djinns and how you get rid them. She knows many charms and formulas, with leafs or barks, that will cure you if you are ill from the djinn. She collects plants, cooks roots or gives them raw to us for eat. Especially leafs and mushrooms she keeps in liverbags. [especially what? I don't follow your previous phrase]

She can read the smoke and the stars and always knows the right time. Course of her magic focus she would respected and the peoples brought ill animals to her – I remember myself well at this time, when I was a child.

I was born in the desert of Somalia and I don’t know who many children my mother gave birth to. Many babies die right after birth and that is why I don't know how many children she had. As the most Somalis we owns camels and goats and live from their milk. In accordance of tradition my brothers typically guard the camels and we girls look after the shorter animals.

Devils are white in Somalia. We call them "Djinn", and they lurk everywhere. (( they crawl in humans and animals )). They create illness, play nasty tricks with people and animals, and make them crazy. If something is missing, then you should know that the Djinn are behind it. My mother shouts at them:"Heyy!! Devils, go away from my things. They do not belong to you. You are unwanted!" Then she shows me that I have to turn away and rather do something else. If the Djinn are away, you will find the lost things again. My mother knows everything about Djinn and how to get rid of them. She knows many charms and spells with which (( leaves or barks )) you can get rid of them if you are ill. She collects plants, cooks roots, or give them raw to us to eat. She keeps leaves and mushrooms in liverbags. She can read in smoke and can read the stars, and always knows the right time. (( Course of her magic foucus she would respected )). People bring ill animals to her. I remember myself well at that time, when I was I a child.

I was born in the desert of Somalia, and did not know how many children my mother had given birth to. That was why many babies died after birth. As the most Somalis, we owned camels, goats and lived on thier milk. In accordance with our traditions, my brother usually guarded the camels, and we girls looked after the ((shorter animals)).

This is a modest attempt to help you come up with a bitter translation. I do not claim that my post is perfect, but I dare say that I gave you a hand in a way or another.

I really enjoyed what you wrote about your life in Somalia.

P.S: sentences between parentheses need reconsideration. I could not make out what you meant.

take care
