(My Letter)

Dear Mamta,

I was excited to receive your letter last week and was extremely happy to know that you are back to the drawing board, making plans for your future. I was equally sad to know that your current company is letting you go. Since you asked me for my opinion on whether you should go to college or take up a job, I thought I should reply at the earliest, to ease your worries.

Personally, I think going to college is not a good idea because it involves sitting in a class with students who are almost half your age. Also, I feel that since it's already been over 15 years since you last went to college, you may not be really connect with your classmates.

Finding a new job, I know, is not very easy in this competitive market. However, I personally think that's the best course of action for you, as you can use your collective experience of working for big corporates over these years to your advantage. I can certainly say that many employers would love to have you work for them, owing to your practical work experience.

Now, coming to the kind of work that you could do, I would say that you should be open to anything that comes your way. But you could try to narrow it down to a few fields, which according to me, you would excel at - advertising, marketing and finance.

I trust my letter helps you make the right choice.

With love,

Gaurav

Answer the question exactly as given. Don't make up your own version.

There is nothing in the question about returning to college, so I assume that the person has finished high school and is trying to decide to either get a job (and start a career path) or go to university. Your scenario of a friend who is between jobs is also a valid one.

I have seen penalties for an essay below the minimum word count. I have not seen a maximum, so as long as the task is complete under the time limit, your should be OK. It is better to spend the test time writing a carefully composed answer than writing an epic.
