Question: The use of social media is replacing face-to-face interaction among many people in society. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, instead of direct communication in real life, people have tendency to use social media to interact in society. That has some advantages but i think the disadvantages are more significant.

There are some several reason for the advantage when using social media. Firstly, it is very convenient. Today, people just need mobile phone or a laptop connected with Internet to communicate together. That helps to save time and even expense. Instead of having to go out, choose a coffe shop to meet each other, or book a taxi to travel to the meeting place, people just need stay at home or anywhere, then open mobile phone or lapto to talk to other people. Secondly, social media provides to people for a lot of social network apps to use such as Facebook, Instagram, Viber,... People may chat, call audio, call video to see each other freely through national. That's why using social network site is more and more popular.

In my opinion, the disadvantages of this trend are outweigh. That set a limit on communication among people. When people use social media to interact, many felts can not be showed. Therefore, the others people sometimes can not really understand what's going on. Not to mention, interaction through social network site but meeting directly will make human life becomes so boring. The next reason is using Internet exerts bad effect on physical and mental health. When people spend too much time on sitting down at a place to use mobile phone or laptop, they will feel very tired. Their body becomes exhausted because of lacking of action. In the long run, that may cause some serious diseases like headache, lost memory,... That is actually more dangerous than we think.

In conclusion, while many people think using social media has a lot of benefits, I strongly believe that the drawbacks are more important with reasons above.
