Topic: Many people go to university for academic study. More people should be encouraged to do vocational training because there is a lack of qualified workers such as elctricians and plumbers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

My essay :

It is true that many people prefer to pursue academic studies at university rather than to follow vocational training courses. While I accept that this may suit many people but I believe that we should encourage more preople to qualify such as electricians, plumbers and other essential manual workers.

There are two main reasons why people should enter higher education. Firstly, these days, several large companies tend to recruit highly educated people with a university degree. As a result, studying at university provide plenty of opportunities for people to get well-paid careers. Secondly, when students enroll at university, they will have a chance to acquire professional knowledge for a particular job or a specialist field of work.

However, I believe that more people must be encouraged to attend vocational traning courses. The first reason is that many students who do not excel in traditional academic areas, or who have a little interest in them. Therefore, we should give more opportunities to train them in whatever skills their natural gifts and preferences lead them to. Another reason is that more and more skilled workers play an important role in society. For example, when new buildings are constructed or when existing building have to be renovated or simply maintained, the main responsibility make sure that the safety of all who use the buildings.

In conclusion, there are good reasons why people should enter higher eduacation but in my opinon we should encourage more people to do vocational traning courses.

There are two main reasons why people should have / get enter (We enter buildings, not education.) higher education. Firstly, First, these days, several large companies tend to recruit highly educated (redundant) people with a university degree. As a result, studying at university provide (wrong form) plenty of (too casual) opportunities for people to get well-paid careers. Secondly, Second, when students enroll in at university, they will have a chance to acquire professional knowledge for a particular job or a specialist field of work.

However, I believe that more people must be encouraged to attend vocational traning courses. The first reason is that many students who do not excel in traditional academic areas, or who have a little interest in them. (fragment, noun phrase. It is not a sentence.) Therefore, we should give more opportunities to train them in whatever skills their natural gifts and preferences lead them to. Another reason is that more and more skilled workers play an important role in society. For example, when new buildings are constructed or when existing building (wrong form) have to be renovated or simply maintained, the main responsibility make sure that the safety of all who use the buildings.(ungrammatical)
