Some people fail in school, but end up being successful in life.

Why do you think that is the case?

What does one need to have to succeed in life?

There exists cases that several people are failures at school, but they become their mirror images in life. In my opinion, this situation can be attributed to the inability to adapt to the learning environment and the inherent adaptation to real-life settings. And in order to succeed in life, one needs to possess two praiseworthy virtues which are self-reliance and determination.
There would be two primary causes of the situation that some people become successful while being failures at school. First, some may have a hard job adapting to the academia. Indeed, some students may feel suffocated in academic settings as there are too many rules to abide by and appropriate behaviours used when communicating with teachers to learn. Second, many people have an inborn ability to adapt to and be sensible in life. Such people usually have effective communication skills and useful social skills, which are nowadays more important than academic knowledge.
So as to succeed in life, I believe that one may have to be both self-reliant and determined. Being self-reliant can help people solve their problems in the absence of others' help. That may give them real experience and various opportunities to expose to novel matters, thereby making people accustomed to addressing challenging problems. Also, people need to have a seemingly innate refusal to allow obstacles to discourage them. Were people to capitulate to failure on their journey of becoming successful, they would never be close to any exalted positions.
In conclusion, the situation that people fail at school but end up with their mirror images in life can be ascribable to the inability to acclimatise themselves with the academic settings and the inborn adaptation to real life. I would reaffirm that determination and self-reliance are the two must-possess virtues to succeed in life.

Thank you very much!

AlpheccaStars to expose to novel matters, (unnatural, ungrammatical)

It should be 'be exposed to', shouldn't it?

AlpheccaStars in at school,

In British English, it should be 'at school', shouldn't it?

AlpheccaStarsbecome their mirror images (wrong expression. A mirror image is a picture that is reversed.)

I intended to use this expression as a metaphor because failure and success are completely different.

But can I use mirror image in task 1 essay, specifically bar chart report?

AlpheccaStars(inordinate common sense and a natural ability to lead and persuade.)

Is it the alternative for my second argument?

Finally, how do you think about the coherence and clarity of my essay and my word usage?

Thank you AlpheccaStars.

Nhật BìnhIt should be 'be exposed to', shouldn't it?

That is the better verb form, but the sentence is still unnatural.. Here is another option.

That may give them real experience and the opportunity to encounter a variety of situations, thereby giving them the skills and confidence to address and deal with challenging problems.
Nhật BìnhIn British English, it should be 'at school', shouldn't it?

I have always seen "failure in school" but it is a very minor point. Either one is acceptable.

Nhật BìnhBut can I use mirror image in task 1 essay, specifically bar chart report?

No. I would not. It is not a mathematical expression.

If B goes up when A goes down, and B goes down when A goes up, then these two are negatively correlated. But this usage is for continuous data on line graphs.

Companies use correlation to their advantage. For example, a fictitious company named "Protect U" makes sunscreen lotion and umbrellas. They sell a lot of sunscreen in the summer, and almost none in the winter. They sell a lot of umbrellas in the winter, and very few in the summer. This seasonality gives them a continuous stream of income throughout the year. They can make a profit on both products.

Look at the black column.

I don't know what this chart is talking about. For example, let's consider it a bar chart about sales of three particular products and the black columns are meat's sales.

Could I describe the trend like that: Meat's sales were their mirror images in 2002, starting at about two billions in 1995 and culminating with nearly 48 billions?

And how about my two final questions in my comment post?

Could you answer them?

Thanks a lot AlpheccaStars

Nhật BìnhAnd how about my two final questions in my comment post?

I am reluctant to give scores or anything like that. I strive to help the writers improve in all regards.

Nhật BìnhLook at the black column.

I don't see any column.

"Mirror image" is not a mathematical term, so I would not advise using it in Task 1.

AlpheccaStarsI am reluctant to give scores or anything like that.

I know that.

I only want to know whether my word usage is accurate and you can follow my essay smoothly.

Thank you very much.

The transitions are good, and you have a variety of complex, compound, and simple sentences. The vocabulary is fine, except where I have given comments on usage.

You are doing well, and I can see dramatic improvements. Keep practicing.
