Topic: Shopping is the favourite pastime for most of the young people . Why do you think is that? Do you think they should be encouraged to do some other useful activities?

My answer:

It is true that these days most youngsters have a tendency to go shopping in their leisure time. There are a variety of reasons behind this trend. In my opinion, they should be encouraged to participate in other activities which are useful for both themselves and for society.

To begin with, there are two primary reasons why shopping has become favourite leisure activities for young people. One reason is that most young people tend to be influenced by their peers who go shopping almost every week. As a result, they will probably purchase unnecessary items for no reason. For instance, in a group of friends, they are likely to buy matching items when they go shopping together. Furthermore, it is evident that the array of products which are organized appealingly could attract youngsters to have the desire to acquire these products. For example, in most clothing stores, the more attractive the mixed outfits which are put on by the mannequins are, the more likely for youngsters to purchase all elements.

Having said that, I strongly believe that young people should be diverted and encouraged to spend their spare time in more better and useful ways. Firstly, some individual development activities should be taken into account to decrease the time when they spend for shopping. Learning new languages is a good example of this. If one learns a new language, he or she will have a good opportunity to get a closer insight into the new culture. It means that this activity enables youngsters to obtain more knowledge as well as to save money. Secondly, young people should be encouraged to do some volunteer work such as joining in environmental protection projects and providing aid to people living in orphanage and nursing home. These activities are not only useful for society but also for their own pleasure.

In conclusion, it is clear that there are various reasons for this trend, and they should be stimulated to do other better activities.

Thank you!

It is true that (Tat give no value to your essay. Would you write something that is not true?) these days most youngsters (In the US, a youngster is a child aged 7-12. They generally do not have their own money for shopping. Their parents take them shopping and control what they get. Do children in your country do a lot of shopping?) have a tendency to go shopping in their leisure time. There are a variety of reasons behind this trend. In my opinion, they should be encouraged to participate in other activities which are useful for both themselves and for society.

For instance, in a group of friends, they are likely to buy matching items when they go shopping together. Furthermore, it is evident that the array of products which are organized appealingly could attract youngsters (Are you sure you don't mean teenagers or young adults?) to have the desire to acquire these products. For example, in most clothing stores, the more attractive the mixed outfits which are put on by the mannequins are, the more likely for youngsters to purchase all elements.

Having said that, I strongly believe that young people should be diverted and encouraged to spend their spare time in more better and useful ways. Firstly, First, some individual development activities should be taken into account to decrease the time when they spend for shopping. Learning new languages is a good example of this. If one learns a new language, he or she will have a good opportunity to get a closer insight into the new culture. It means that this activity enables youngsters to obtain more knowledge as well as to save money. Secondly, Second, young people should be encouraged to do some volunteer work such as joining in environmental protection projects and providing aid to people living in orphanage (Wrong form) and nursing home. (Wrong form) These activities are not only useful for society but also for their own pleasure.

In conclusion, it is clear that there are various reasons for this trend, and they should be stimulated to do other better activities.
