Moreover, it would be convenient for some employees to work using online platforms when traveling, instead of having to take leaves. The result is an improvement in satisfaction, which can affect employees’ loyalty to the company. Another clear benefit is lower expenses and increase safety. Without having to commute to work, traveling cost would be cut down while fewer traffic accidents happen as a result of less private transport on the road.

However, remote working can potentially cause a lack of discipline among employees, since they are not present at their workplace. This means that they are not monitored by supervisors, consequently, the quality of products and services they provide can be lowered. But I think that even if employees are at their traditional workplace, sometimes they are distracted, doing trivial tasks such as playing games just because they feel stressed from work. If they are given permission to work from home and their salary is based on their performance, I believe productivity will not be a problem for remote working.

To conclude, though there are pros and cons to work-from-home practice, I believe the satisfaction and lower expenses it provides are more of an advantageous development.
