In a letter I want to use the phrase, "annual member reception". Should I use "members" (plural and possessive) or "member" indicating a single event?

Thank you
I wouldn't use "annual member reception" as it tends to mean something quite different..Emotion: wink

I would use "members' reception" See this for more info: Apostrophes

Perhaps you shouldn't have told her that. It would certainly have amused the letter's recipients...
