Hi guys,

If I said pre the late 1980s would this mean before the late 1980s, and post 1980s mean after the 1980s?

Many thanks in advance!
Yes, but
pre late 1980s
and I would not use it in formal contexts.
Thanks Marius, how would you write this formally?
Teachers: We supply a list of EFL job vacancies
Prior to the late 1980s, ...
Thanks very much for your help :-), so prior also means before?
"Prior to" means before, yes.
Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
Thanks very much Grammar Geek :-)
